This policy describes information handled by GPrivate — Private Camera & Vault (“GPrivate”, “we”, “our” or “us”). GPrivate is designed to keep your photos and videos in an encrypted vault on your device. GPrivate does not upload vault photos or videos to a GPrivate server.
Information stored on your device
- Photos and videos captured with GPrivate or imported into the vault are encrypted and stored locally.
- Thumbnails used to display vault items are stored locally in a blurred form and are not encrypted like the original media.
- PIN/password verification data, preferences, quota counters and vault metadata are stored locally. The app does not send your PIN, password, encryption key, media content or vault filenames to us.
- GPrivate has no GPrivate account, cloud vault or sync service. Device backups, if any, are controlled by your operating-system and device settings.
Exporting media
If you export an item, GPrivate creates a decrypted copy at the destination you select. That copy is outside the encrypted vault and is governed by the destination app, device and any backup settings you use.
Information handled by service providers
GPrivate does not sell your photos or videos. To operate optional ads, purchases and app reliability features, third-party providers may process technical or transaction information. Their processing is subject to their own privacy terms.
- Advertising and consent: Google Mobile Ads and its consent tools may process device or advertising identifiers, consent choices, ad request/impression information and interactions. Ads are requested only when consent permits and the user is not Premium. On iOS, the app may request App Tracking Transparency permission; ad behavior depends on your choice and applicable consent.
- Analytics: Firebase Analytics receives app event information such as camera/quota events and paywall or purchase funnel events. Purchase funnel events may include a store product identifier. GPrivate does not include photo/video contents or vault filenames in these events.
- Crash diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash reports and technical diagnostic details such as app, operating-system and device information to help identify failures.
- Purchases: Apple or Google processes billing. RevenueCat may process purchase/restore status, product and entitlement information, transaction-related identifiers and a pseudonymous app-user identifier to manage Premium access. GPrivate does not receive your payment-card number.
- Support: If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address and message contents.
Third-party providers may process information on systems located in countries other than yours and retain it according to their policies and service settings. Review the privacy information provided by Google, Firebase, Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat.
Retention and deletion
You can manage and delete vault items from within GPrivate. Information used by advertising, analytics, crash-reporting and purchase providers is retained and deleted according to the applicable provider, store and account settings. Contact us with privacy questions or requests; we will explain which data we can access and which requests must be directed to a provider or app store.
Security and recovery
GPrivate encrypts vault media on the device and uses device secure-storage facilities for key protection. No method of security is perfect. Because GPrivate has no cloud recovery service, losing access to the device-bound key or vault credentials may make vault media unrecoverable. Keep separate backups of any media you choose to export.
Children
GPrivate is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service or support message, contact us so we can review the matter.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app behavior, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
